Students Take to Streets in Hyderabad

Hundreds of students from various coaching centres and colleges in Hyderabad gathered on Wednesday to protest the alleged leak of the NEET question paper. The demonstration, which took place near the central business district, saw chants for a fair investigation into the incident that has rocked the medical entrance exam process.

The protesters carried placards and shouted slogans demanding accountability. Many held banners reading 'Justice for NEET Aspirants' and 'Stop Playing with Our Future.'

Demand for Judicial Probe Into Delhi Incident

A central demand of the protest was a judicial inquiry into the lathi-charge on students in Delhi earlier this week. According to the protesters, police used force against peaceful demonstrators who were also demanding action on the paper leak.

The students in Hyderabad argued that the crackdown in the national capital was an attempt to suppress legitimate grievances. They called for a high-level probe, preferably by a retired judge, to examine both the leak and the police action.

Police Maintain Presence, No Major Incident Reported

Police personnel were deployed in large numbers at the protest site. Authorities had set up barricades to manage the crowd and prevent any disruption to traffic.

Despite the tension, the protest remained largely peaceful. No arrests or violent clashes were reported from the scene. The students dispersed after submitting a memorandum to district officials.

NEET Paper Leak Investigation Continues

The National Testing Agency, which conducts NEET, has said it is cooperating with an ongoing investigation into the leak. Sources indicate that multiple teams are looking into how the question paper was compromised.

Meanwhile, student groups have threatened to escalate their protests if their demands are not met. They have called for a nationwide demonstration next week.

Authorities in Hyderabad have assured the protesters that their concerns would be forwarded to the state government. The coming days will determine whether the movement gains further momentum or recedes as officials work to restore confidence in the examination process.
