The affected train, which was heading towards Chengalpattu, stopped abruptly at the platform after the driver reported a malfunction. Passengers were asked to remain seated as railway staff assessed the issue.

Passengers Stranded for Over 30 Minutes

Sources said the train was stranded for more than 30 minutes before the technical team resolved the snag. It was chaotic,” said a commuter who did not wish to be named.
